For the past five years I have been doing work with graphic design and web programming. I am also an avid photographer, and have been running Jefferson Lakes Day Camp web-photo service for the past three years. Traditionally, prospective employers live and die by the resumé, however I think I can do a little better than that. If you're of the resumé camp though, I have my resume in .doc format up for your viewing pleasure.

This is a list of my proficiencies in no particular order, along with any relevant version number. PHP is on top because... well because I think it should be. I am open to learning any new subject, so just beacause something isn't here dosn't mean I know nothing about it. I feel it is important to be honest about what you know, especially when it comes to programming and technical applications.
When I get the chance to show off to people, this is one of my favorite things to explain. Using the Smarty PHP Template Engine, MySQL, and some cunning PHP... I developed a proof of concept online coursework system. I did this for two reasons, the first primarily because I strive to learn new things above and beyond the classroom for each project. The second, and most important reason, was so I could harass the Johnson & Wales career development department over the horrible web systems we're subjected here at JWU. There are so many awesome parts of this, this little body of text can't do it justice. Ask me for a demo if you're that interested.
This is a page I did as a part of the Web Maintanence team. Out of four people, the client liked mine the best. I did not realize this was a curse in disguise, as she proceeded to ruin everything good about the site. Not only was the client themselves a royal pain, their web design company are complete shills as well. They took several components of our site and put them up without a single credit. Mouseworks.net if ya want to see some really bad web design. The only thing worse than producing crappy work is taking others and claiming it's yours.
This guy is up here for pure nostalgia. My friend Matt Mulligan wrote the Javascript that makes him walk back and forth and bob his head. I made the animated gifs and found the Michigan J Frog song off the web. We won t-shirts for our efforts, and he still entertains whenever I break him out. Sadly, he only works in IE, but I think it's pretty good for an intro web-design class. If the llama image is familar, it's because I took him from the Oreilly book Learning Perl.
I did this for an intro web design class that I had to take a while back, and I just liked how it turned out. There were a few "ehh" parts, namely the arrows you have to hover your mouse over to scroll the content. One nice thing about it was how it was centered in the browser window as well.
I'm not really sure why I labeled it like this, but this is one of the first examples of CSS styling I've ever done. It's an interesting example of what I thought looked decent two... or was it three years ago? In any event, it's all CSS- no tables! I especially like the big 'M' in the background of the body area.
While photography is not my primary discipline, I still enjoy it a lot. I would relish an opportunity to combine my PHP skills with photography- it would be a dream come true. I also have a bit of skill with Photoshop, some of these aren't strictly photography. Rather than explain every little detail again, I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
